What do you think of Prudence?
My 10 year old dd is a massive Beatles fan and we were listening to Dear Prudence in her room. The words are so lovely!
I have liked it for ages, not sure if I can get it past dh, but what do you think?

I would go for Penny if I was a Beatles fan.

Sorry, I think Gordon has rather tainted it - besides which, names which imply some particular character trait always seem a bit odd to me

I am pretty ambilvilant to Prudence, but actively dislike Penny.

I rather like it.

But as with all virtue names, it might be hard to live with. It reminds me of the Jilly Cooper book, and the Siouxie and the Banshees' song.

She was always a horrid, nasty sort of girl in Enid Blyton books.

There are so many nice girls' names out there. Are you seriously considering Prudence...?

I love the song too. If only prudence didn't sound like prude or I would have had it on my list. You might be subjecting DC to years of 'you prude' playground abuse....
