I love this name! DH would never let me have it though [sulks]

Love it. We were a whisker away from calling ds2 Jago. In the end we chose Theodore. I got cold feet because my mother was a bit sniffy. Stupid of me really as I think it's traditional, yet different - the perfect balance.

I like it - we also had it on our list for DS2.

My gorgeous Jago is now nearly nine and sleeping upstairs.
I think its a great name, natch!
It's definately pronouced Jaygo and it's the Celtic / Cornish version of James/Jacob and is fairly popular in Cornwall as a first & last name. I think you either take to the name straight away or are not so keen.
We are not from Cornwall but I wanted a Celtic connection in a name- we were not looking for anything different, we just liked it.
Not many people have asked where it is from or it's origin now I think about it.

Not sure what a PPE at Oxford is really but if you like a name, just go for it. (unless it's after a character in EE! However in one of PD James recent books, set in Cornish, one of the main characters was Jago)
Just hope that it does not become too popular now...

It's a gorgeous name! I have a newphew called Jago who is 16 months old and it suits him perfectly - he gets called 'J' for short.

My family is Cornish and we all live here but it's a fab name so would use it even if I didn't have Cornish connections!
