Too twee?

So two questions:

Is it impossibly twee to have 2 DD's both with "flower" names?

and

Catherine or Katherine?

Thoughts please?

2 flower names - a bit twee in my opinion - others might think it cute but what about when they're older?

depends on the names, imo
eg I'm not a fan of Rose under any circs, but Rose and Pansy would be way OTT, whereas, I like Iris and Flora
And I have a strong preference for Katherine.
All very personal, i think.

The flower names would depend on what they were. Daisy (especially if nn for Margaret) would withstand a second flower better than some of the "frillier" ones.

I think Catherine, but I do agree that it depends on the names, on a side note I have to DS's with ie ending names that I realise with hindsight are a bit twee although they do suit the boys to a T!!

Katherine. Not sure re flower names. Think jkklpu's probably right that it depends on the specific names.

Current DD is Lily.

Thinking about an Iris.

At a party -

"Hi, my name's Lily and this is my sister Iris."

I have to admit I would snigger.

Sorry - not for me.

Both names are lovely on their own but not as siblings imho.

Too like Hyacinth, Rose, Daisy, Violet, etc.

I prefer Kathryn, Katherine as a pinch.

Lily and Iris sound great. I wonder if two flower names ending in 'y' might be a bit twee (Lily/Poppy/Daisy/Rosie) but Iris is a sophisticated flower. As is Rose, like that with Lily too

i cant chose between catherine and katherine, but i like iris more than that

Catherine/Katherine definitely wont be first name.

So name will either be:

Iris K/Catherine or

* K/Catherine (although not really got any alternatives at the moment!)
