Lula - what do you think?

What do you think? Heard it ages ago and really liked it, still do but wonder if it is a 'grown up' name too?

no in my neck of the woods that's what little girls call their vaginas. I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw a buggy called loola.

Like Elton or Elvis, it's one of those names that doesn't need a surname. He's the recent President of Brazil.

It might catch on, just as Evita did for girls. But I don't like it yet; if you used Luiz on the birth certificate it would work as a nn.

I've heard of it as a nn for Louise, and it sounds a lot like the name Luna.

DH loves this. I wanted Tallulah as a name and DH only liked it as he could have Lula as a nn.

We have a Lucy and we often call her Lula (amongst many other names Wink )

I think it's lovely, but only as a nn

I've got a Lyra and it is one of the many nn we give her 'lyralula, lyralooly' etc. I think its pretty though

Lula Mae Barnes was Holly Golightly's real name in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

I like it, though not sure I would use it myself, especially as there is a dog in Pocoyo called Lula/Loula.

Oh dear, ladies bits have rather killed it for me!! There was a similar thread about minnie, which my friend uses with her kids for their bits, I just couldn't not associate it with that! Same now applies for Lula as it is in my head!
Back to drawing board!
I have 3 girls already so finding it hard to come up with another girl's name but saying that, finding it hard to come up with a boy's name too!

Oh shame....I LOVE the name Lula and it was my no 1 choice if I'd had a girl (there's always next time!).....don't let the 'ladies bits' references put you off!!

i think their is a company called lula saphire? so it makes me think of that but i didnt know the vagina thing so that would put me off too.. i did think it was pretty at first
what about lola?
