Prefer the spelling Serafina. That was on our list, but didn't use it as it sort of clashes with our surname.

Also like Sarah.

onimolap · 04/02/2011 19:48

I like all of them! And would also like to offer up Zephyrine as a possibility.

TransatlanticCityGirl · 04/02/2011 19:48

I would never tear anyone's name to pieces, that's just mean! :)

I quite like Seraphina, as it's not only beautiful but also less common than Sarah or Sara

But nothing wrong with any of those names!

BodyUnknown · 04/02/2011 19:54

My DD is Severine, and I have never met another! Looks like it might fit with your tastes.

SleepySleeperson · 04/02/2011 19:56

I like Seraphina, it's lovely.

What about Sera? I had a friend at school with that spelling (a fair while ago now, admittedly) and I've always liked it since!

MelinaM · 04/02/2011 19:57

Ohh thank you ladies, all positive stuff so far! I love Zephyrine and Severine too, both beautiful and as you say few and far between! x

Seraphina is lovely. You might also consider Sapphira.

MelinaM · 04/02/2011 20:11

Sapphira, am I right with the pro-nounciation of Saff -era?! I like it! x

Seraphine is lovely too. I love Seraphina and Serafina.

MuffinMouse · 04/02/2011 21:33

Love Seraphina but also like the other two. Would Seraphina be shortened to Sera - in which case you get both! (Could be Fee/Fifi too I guess)?

timetomove · 04/02/2011 21:36

Seren also similar and v nice.

BeeBox · 04/02/2011 22:25

All nice names, but Seraphina is the nicest imo. I actually prefer Seraphine. NO to Saffira - sounds like the car.

Seren is lovely.

I also love Soraya.

muminthemiddle · 04/02/2011 22:53

I like Seraphina best. Don't like Sara at all and not keen on Sarah either.

greenzebra · 05/02/2011 08:36

seraphina is a beautiful name, one of my favourite literary characters. Isnt jennifer garners baby called seraphina?

I wish I could use this name but husband doesnt like long fussy names. Damn him!

Hedwig3 · 05/02/2011 09:27

Love Sara.

LyraBelaqua · 05/02/2011 15:22

I really like the name Seraphina, spelt however you like, however, I did meet a teenage Seraphina once who said her name was the worst thing that had ever happened to her. I dont know why though. People are getting more used to unusual names now. Hopefully anyway as my DD has one Smile

Sariah · 05/02/2011 15:29

My dds middle name is Sariah which I really like and would have called her only my ds has psoriasis and someone said that if she developed it then she might get name called with her name sounding so like it.

Plonker · 05/02/2011 15:33

I love Sarah. Beautiful.

I'm not as keen on the others.

MelinaM · 05/02/2011 22:55

Thank you for all the lovely comments and suggestions ladiesSmile x

Seraphina is stunning. By far the nicest. Sarah and Sara are gorgeous too - you couldnt go wrong its just Seraphina is not so usual and is a bit more elegant (IMO).

Dont like any of the suggestions (sorry Blush)

OADCB · 07/02/2011 07:37

How would one pronounce sariah?

I do love seraphina.

Rhubarbgarden · 07/02/2011 09:39

Not fond of Seraphina. Bit too fussy for me, and it's becoming very popular round here. Sarah is better.

PracticallyImperfectInEveryWay · 07/02/2011 22:40

I love Seraphine, nn Sera as suggested above :)

CaptainBarnacles · 07/02/2011 22:42

Love Sarah and Sara (always reminds me of Bob Dylan's wife).

COCKadoodledooo · 07/02/2011 22:51

Sarah. Not biased in the slightest, oh no.
