This is what I've come up with for a girl.

What do you think?

Anna Primrose is lovely. I'd drop the Ivy.

SE131975 · 31/01/2011 23:59

I need to have Ivy in there as it's a family name.

Was going to second dropping the Ivy, but if it's a family name it has to stay:) I know this might sound a bit gimpy, but a friend of mine is Anna with a h - Annah, and I've always thought it was a nicer spelling. Although she does get a lot of guff about it though!

AvaBanana · 01/02/2011 04:02

Bit of a mouthful, although all nice names individually. Anna is lovely.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 01/02/2011 06:47

Please don't it Annah. She will spend the rest of her life having to spell her name to everyone. It's not special or unique, just silly.

IngridBergmann · 01/02/2011 06:54

Lovely.

PlanetLizard · 01/02/2011 09:17

Gorgeous! All three names are lovely :)

I'd stick to the Anna spelling.

GandalfyCarawak · 01/02/2011 09:19

The name is lovely, really pretty but also nice for an adult in a boardroom iykwim! Please don't spoil it with the extra h...

ThePosieParker · 01/02/2011 09:20

Too many names with too many sounds.

ValiumSandwichTime · 01/02/2011 10:43

Anna is lovely.

Primrose is too f888ing uptight for my tastes, although Rosemary is beautiful. Ivy is one of the old lady names that I don't get.

Anna Rosemary - leave it at that... That would be more my taste.

ValiumSandwichTime · 01/02/2011 10:44

Annah looks wrong and makes me wince.

AllieW · 01/02/2011 10:49

I'd be tempted to leave Anna off altogether, actually. I also like the suggestion of Rosemary.

SE131975 · 01/02/2011 11:47

Annah?? That's terrible!

Ivy has to be there. I don't love it either but I adored my Grandma.

I have considered Primrose as a first name but it might be a difficult one to live with?

Beautiful, well done Smile

TeenageWildlife · 01/02/2011 12:41

Annah with an h on the end sounds like cockney for Hannah. Smile

Aims80 · 01/02/2011 18:02

I love Primrose, it's my daughter's middle name (after changing our minds several times!) and like you I used my Grandmas name as a second middle name (Mai).

I think your choice is lovely.
:)

SE131975 · 01/02/2011 22:30

Thank you :)

I'm pretty sure it's The One.

The other options were..

Anna Juniper Ivy
Anna Beatrix Ivy

PlanetLizard · 01/02/2011 22:34

Like Primrose best from your options :)

BustleInYourHedgerow · 01/02/2011 22:49

Hmm, maybe my judgement is a bit skewed because Annah is a fabulous person! Don't like Primrose for a first name though.

Aims80 · 02/02/2011 15:29

Oh my god we have such similar taste, lol. Beatrix was on my list of middle names and Juniper is my daughter's first name (again after much agonising!).
