We are discussing names for DS2. DS1 is Thomas. We are considering Alex or Sebastian. James could also be a possibility. What do you think?

I like Alexander and James best, and Sebastian is OK too. Great choices!

Love Alexander (Alex as a nn), traditional but not top ten. James is nice but not keen on Sebastian.

Fuchzia · 29/01/2011 09:27

Sebastian is unusual, could be seen as a but posh maybe? A and J lovely but quite well used. Have you thought about scotish variations off alex, alasdair etc?

Zaft · 29/01/2011 09:27

I don't think you can go wrong with any of these three. I think Sebastian is my favourite but all three are nice.

yama · 29/01/2011 09:28

Alex is a great name. The other two are okay. All three go well with Thomas.

pinkhebe · 29/01/2011 09:32

I like James, I was put off seb by little britain!

ValLongstreet · 29/01/2011 09:39

All good names I think.

Probably my favourite is Alexander but any one sounds good with Thomas

PuppyMonkey · 29/01/2011 09:42

Sebastian is my fave boys name ever.

PlanetLizard · 29/01/2011 12:55

They're all nice names :) Alexander is my favourite, then James.

Love Alexander and James. Not keen on Sebastian. There again my BF had an ex called Sebastian who tried to kill her. Maybe that has a bit on an influence on my choice Smile

muminthesun · 29/01/2011 18:43

Alex James

flower38 · 29/01/2011 19:43

like Alexander and james dont like sebastian.

AllieW · 29/01/2011 20:25

Sebastian, then Alex (prefer Alec, personally), then James.

sonniboo · 29/01/2011 20:47

The problem with Sebastian is that it is too long to use regularly so will inevitably be shortened. And Seb/Sebbie is not nice imo. Shame as it is a nice name otherwise (and certainly not 'unusual' as someone mentioned).

Alex and James are ok, perhaps a bit common - there are a lot of them around already Smile.

Love James. Timeless and classic.

Thomas and James are gorgeous together too.

Chocolocolate · 29/01/2011 23:56

Alex by far.

Thomas and James make me think of the tank engines.

Sebastian doesn't seem to go with Thomas.
