Met a little girl last week with this name and thought it (and she) was gorgeous.

What do you all think?

I also know a Talia - so along the same lines.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Have you ever smelt a dahlia? Ew. If you're going to use a flower name, its surely got to be a fragrant one!

If it wasn't a smelly, rather blowsy flower it'd be a very pretty name.

Bertie Wooster's foxhunting aunt - not a good look for a baby girl.
Talia or Thalia are nice though.

AllieW · 28/01/2011 16:45

Not overly keen. Surely a Talia, too, would end up nicknamed Jenny by cruel children? Not convinced by that one.

PlanetLizard · 28/01/2011 16:51

I like it :) Like Delilah and Della too.

GrimmaTheNome · 28/01/2011 16:52

Thalia is a very elegant little white narcissus - much better.

onimolap · 28/01/2011 16:53

Definitely a Wodehouse name - "Aunt calling to Aunt like mastodons across a swamp".

MerylStrop · 28/01/2011 16:54

I know a goregous spanish woman called Dahlia (pron Dar-lia). I like it.

hellymelly · 28/01/2011 16:55
