I've only just found out that I'm pregnant but this will be DC3 and we always pick names as soon as we find out so we can start a little book about the pregnancy and my Nan can sew 2 sets of patchwork quilts and knit blankets with the two chosen names on. we also consider the bump as part of the family from day one so it just feels right for us to name him/her now.

But this time I can't think of any boys names for girls we have on our short list;-
Vivienne
Martha
Audrey
Maeve
Julietta
Rose
Hetty
Taffeta

Lovely girls choices.

How about
Quentin
Tobias
Vincent

Vivienne - absolutely lovely
Martha - like it
Audrey - can't make my mind up whether it is too old fashioned, but Audrey Hepburn is such an icon.
Maeve - ok
Julietta - make of car (ok it's a different spelling, but I would assume you were Alfa fanatics)
Rose - sweet but overdone
Hetty - short for Henrietta so not a real name, also used quite frequently round here to describe a bit of a hippy chick
Taffeta - Hmm - would you call her wool, nylon or polyester (actually you could get away with polly-ester!!!)

For boys what about
Hugo/Jago
Henry
Vivian
Aubrey
Gregory
Nathaniel
Benedict
Rufus
Florian/Florent
Marcus
Serge (thinking of material now Smile)

Julietta - make of car Confused??

BellBookandCandle · 28/01/2011 13:09

Alfa Romeo Guilietta have now outed myself as an Alfa geek Smile

evamummy · 28/01/2011 13:17

I've never heard of that car, to be honest. I doubt many people will make that connection.

AllieW · 28/01/2011 13:24

It's being advertised at the moment, but it's spelt as BellBookandCandle indicates and I'm not convinced it's a problem.

Of your girls' names, I love Vivienne and Rose, not so sure about the others, especially not Taffeta which I consider to be a fabric rather than a name!

Possible suggestions for boys:

Ambrose
Benedict
Clement
Dominic
Nicholas
Sebastian

BellBookandCandle · 28/01/2011 13:32

Alliew - no probably not a problem unless you're JeremyClarkson a petrolhead

BelligerentGhoul · 28/01/2011 22:35

I really, really love most of your girls' names - except Taffeta.

For boys' names I like:

Thaddeus
Matthias
Benedict
Bartholomew
Rowan
Laurence
Tobias
Luke / Lucas
Timothy
