Like Wystan Hugh Auden tremendously, Auden as a first name doesn't light my fire but nor to I retreat in horror.

It wouldn't be my choice but, as a transferred surname, it's an OK one.

Sounds too girly for a boy - makes me think of the girl's name Eden

Thanks for the feedback - must admit I tried to delete this post as Auden is already six months old . DH named him (I was set on Nathan until at the 11th hour a friend called her son this so we re-opened negotiations)My DS is asleep in my arms, the happiest most contented baby I know - just wait till he finds out what people think of his name

Auden is a tiny bit poncetastic but much better than Nathan. I think your dh has got decent taste!
