What do you think? For baby boy...!

As in the gay poet? Bit loveyish.

I like itSmile Not all 'poncey' imho! x

AllieW · 28/01/2011 10:23

I think of the poet and therefore conclude that it's a surname! Sorry.

FranSanDisco · 28/01/2011 10:26

I love his poetry but maybe not for a name, sorry.

KangarooCaught · 28/01/2011 10:34

Like Wystan Hugh Auden tremendously, Auden as a first name doesn't light my fire but nor to I retreat in horror.

Are you an Auden fan?

PlanetLizard · 28/01/2011 11:11

Not keen on surnames as first names. How about Aaron?

HelenaRose · 28/01/2011 12:11

I like it.

SilkStalkings · 28/01/2011 13:09

Alban?

FoxyRevenger · 28/01/2011 21:11

It's a bit 'ooh look how well read we are' for me. Sorry. Blush

onimolap · 28/01/2011 21:13

It wouldn't be my choice but, as a transferred surname, it's an OK one.

JojoMags · 28/01/2011 22:20

Does sound a bit pretentious - not saying you are, just what I get from the name iykwim.

Quattrocento · 28/01/2011 22:21

Why not Wystan?

KangarooCaught · 28/01/2011 22:55

Maybe the OP wasn't thinking of the poet?

muminthemiddle · 28/01/2011 23:57

I am liking it. Does instantly make me think of the poet.

Lollypolly · 29/01/2011 00:06

Sounds too girly for a boy - makes me think of the girl's name Eden

leroymerlin · 02/02/2011 16:57

Thanks for the feedback - must admit I tried to delete this post as Auden is already six months old Blush. DH named him (I was set on Nathan until at the 11th hour a friend called her son this so we re-opened negotiations)My DS is asleep in my arms, the happiest most contented baby I know - just wait till he finds out what people think of his name Grin

I much prefer Auden to Nathan and think it is a lovely name Smile. Congratulations.

Sazisi · 02/02/2011 18:40

I like it :)

I've always quite fancied Aldous for a boy.

Northernlurker · 02/02/2011 18:42

Auden is a tiny bit poncetastic but much better than Nathan. I think your dh has got decent taste!

Rhubarbgarden · 02/02/2011 20:30

Definitely better than Nathan!

Tamasine · 02/02/2011 21:23

I agree, Auden is a great name!
