that's because it's a girl's name probably? drop the e for a boy

coldtits · 27/01/2011 12:54

It's a girl's name. Like 'Amy' or 'Sarah' - yuo wound't name aboy Skye unless you really want him to be laughed at;.

nickelbabysnatcher · 27/01/2011 12:55

You could get away with Sky, but not Skye.

rachel1970 · 27/01/2011 12:57

I agree, drop the e. Sky is great for a boy.

BlackSwan · 27/01/2011 13:00

Too close to Skype. And it is a girls' name.

shouldnotbehere · 27/01/2011 13:55

Nooooo. Skye is a girls name.

mopsyflopsy · 27/01/2011 13:58

Schuyler is a boys name, originally from Holland I think.

I agree, Sky without the -e works better for a boy.

Chocolocolate · 27/01/2011 14:27

I think the man that is getting married in Mama Mia is called Sky.

Chocolocolate · 27/01/2011 14:27

Also, I know a Schuyler who gets called Sky.

Ondine · 27/01/2011 15:24

I think if you like Sky for a boy go for Skyler on the birth cert. and then have Sky as a nick name.

Sky or Skye as a name on it's own is too feminine imo.
