Marcel or Victor??

Which do you prefer? Just out of curiosity really, not to sway my our decision.

DH is French, so we are entitled to err on the poncy side...

Definitely Marcel. I hate Victor.

Though actually it's not bad when said in a French accent.

I still prefer Marcel though.

I have a Viktor, really suits him. Call him 'Little V' for short.

I know an utterly gorgeous Marcel, he's Dutch though not French, but hot all the same
You could use Marc as a short version for something more ordinary.

I love Victor, but that might be because that is the name of one of our dogs sorry, for that reason alone i would go for Marcel!

I love Marcel Pagnol and would love the name, however it's a) very French and b) very old fashioned.

Victor is plain awful.

I like Marcel.

I'm not that keen on either. Victor makes me think Meldrew. Marcel makes me think of Marcel Marceau (sp?).
