Hey everyone,

I'd never heard this name before but recently had a customer at work with it (I think he was German) and thought it sounded nice.

Any thoughts?

Erm..no. Sounds horrible and made up imo.

BooBooGlass · 23/01/2011 12:22

Nooooooooo.

Binfullofmaggotsonthe45 · 23/01/2011 12:23

Regatta?

TheVisitor · 23/01/2011 12:23

Sounds wrong and would be spelt wrong by everyone.

TheVisitor · 23/01/2011 12:23

Regatta is a brand name of outdoor clothing.

ChickensFlyingUnderTheRadar · 23/01/2011 12:24

I might use it for my next chicken. For some reason it sounds feminine to me.

TheMonster · 23/01/2011 12:24

Nope. Next?

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 23/01/2011 12:25

No No No.

Sounds like Henley's clothing brand.

CockneySparra · 23/01/2011 12:25

Awful. Actually, 'Henley' would be awful. 'Henlie' is ridiculous.

FranSanDisco · 23/01/2011 12:26

Henlie would not be out of place in this area so I think it depends where you live really.

Chocolocolate · 23/01/2011 12:30
Grin

That's a big no then!

I like it, Smile

onimolap · 23/01/2011 12:54

It sounds to me like a nn for Heinrich (a variant of Heini). Fine in German-speaking area, as others have noted, it may well be seen as odd elsewhere.

Binfullofmaggotsonthe45 · 23/01/2011 13:01

Sorry it just made me think of Henley Regatta!
