Twin names

Hello all,

We're expecting identical twins. We don't know what sex they are but are completely stumped for boys names.
DS is called Theo.
If they are girls they will be Isabelle and Eleanor.
We don't want them to both start with the same letter, we'd like them to go i.e. we don't want one traditional and one crazy.

Any ideas anyone?

We have 2 boys names but have to hope we don't have 2 boys as they cannot go together, but they are the only 2 dh and I agree on.... William (Will) and Harry!

I love Oliver (Olly) but dh won't have it, but I think William and Oliver or Harry and Oliver go. Also love Isaac (again dh says no).

Well done for not doing same 1st letter - so many do and it's a nightmare for post! I love Theo.

NewImprovedJollster · 21/01/2011 14:47

Jerome and Gregory (Jem and Greg)
William and Benedict (Billy and Ned)

(I have a William and DP's dad is Harry, which I love too, but as you say it's a no-no!)

RetroMum1 · 21/01/2011 15:59

Oscar and Rupert. Oscar and Theo go naturally together for me and I always think Rupert is lovely and works well with the other 2.

I have twin boys. We've gone for traditional names for both of them - but not a matching pair. Kind of the equivalent of George and Henry.

They match but don't match, iyswim!

daretodream · 21/01/2011 16:03

ps congrats on the twins!!!

Snowfalls108 · 21/01/2011 18:24

Thanks all.
Love Oscar but is family dog name. Loads of Harry's in family, same for George.
Any other suggestions?

Don't go for Adam and Joe - they are a comedy double with a show on bbc radio. Used to be on TV and I've seen them at Glastonbury Festival (I do like both names, but maybe not together).

loueytb3 · 24/01/2011 16:44

Congratulations! I've got twin boys called Isaac and Luke. Twin boys are great - never a dull moment Grin

Theo was on my original list too but vetoed by DH. Am expecting no 3 and my boys name list includes:

Nathaniel
Joseph
Frederick (Freddie)
Jacob (Jake)
Oscar
Louis
Charlie
Noah
Theo (again)

All of which DH has vetoed Confused

I also like Max but we can't have it as its already a good friend's DS's name. Just make sure you don't use the same initials whatever you choose and they sound sufficiently different.

MrsDeidreIppy · 24/01/2011 16:45

Reuben and Jacob
Keir and Zachary
Isaac and Ewan
Rufus and Elliot

nappyaddict · 25/01/2011 09:41

I don't really think you necessarily need names that go together. Just go with what names you like. Most names go together unless they are really out there IMO.
