We want to call DS3 'Felix'

Our surnae begins with 'S'

We wanted to give him a middle name beginning with 'G'

But his initials will be FGS!

Ditto any 'F' middle names (FFS!)

Would you have a G name?

Or any suggestions of middle names to go with Felix?

I'd avoid G names.

How about....

Felix William
Felix Jasper
Felix Lawrence
Felix Nathaniel
Felix John
Felix Oliver
Felix Dylan
Felix James
Felix Edward
Felix Henry
Felix Aidan
Felix Elias
Felix Luke

I wouldn't avoid a G myself - think it's not a problem FGS... Wink

Nando95 · 16/01/2011 13:43

Think it fab- humourus at worst! Would defnately not put me off at all x

belgo · 16/01/2011 13:44

I would add a second middle name to solve the problem.

Felix is a lovely name.

BikeRunSki · 16/01/2011 13:48

Fine.

I just asked DH and "FGS" didn't mean anything to him.

Prinpo · 16/01/2011 18:56

FGS wouldn't register with me. As Nando says, at worst it might raise a smile.

Clucky31 · 18/01/2011 10:16

Agree with others who have said that FGS wouldn't really register.

Expecting a boy here and my favourite name is Benedict, alas our surname begins with an O...

MackerelOfFact · 18/01/2011 10:20

Think it's fine. It might not even mean anything in 10 years time, in fact it probably doesn't mean anything to most people now. WTF or LOL I might be wary of, but FGS isn't a really mainstream acronym.

Worst case, he can just use FS as his initials.

MrsShrekTheThird · 18/01/2011 10:21

I don't think anyone outside MN would particularly bother about FGS. And F.G. Surname wouldn't register at all. Go with your fave. Or add an extra (perhaps one syllable) name if you're bothered.
We couldn't call our kids anything beginnng with F or B, because they make our surname rude Grin

TryLikingClarity · 19/01/2011 16:58

I think it would do nothing more than make people have a slight smile when they read FGS. At least it doesn't spell something they could make into a short snappy word.
