I've already decided our baby boy (due end of this month) will be:
J---- William and then our surname which is 3 syllables long.... but can i add a third middle name of Kurt - or will that be too long??? it'll be 8 syllables in total.... Hmm

Brilliant - thanks.... feel quite excited now - as we'd pretty much decided on baby's name back in July - so now it feels like a secret special treat! Grin

Absoltely fine, mine has 3 middle names, gives him more choice in later life should he not like his first name! Good luck with the birth.

both mine have:
first name, middle name ,middle name, double barrelled sir name!
but they're both only 8 syllables in total...ther're going to hate us arent they...Grin

I wouldnt do it. I did out of misplaced politeness (used my mothers name as middle name so stuck MILs in too). Frankly its ridiculous and confusing - the second second name is too long on forms so I basically always leave one of the names out and DH doesnt so its a hotch potch. I havent even told DD about her second middle name as she wouldnt be able to say it. Wish we had stuck with one middle name and anyway MIL is pretty relaxed and dont think was bothered either way.

my ds2 has 2 middle names as well has a first name, one after dhs middle name and one after dh dad !!
