What do you think of Lewis / Lucas / Rafe / Harrison / Jake

Hit me with it ladies (and gents!). Our surname is the very simple "Brooks" if that helps.

I like Lewis and Lucas.
Rafe is a bit pretentious, I know naughty Jakes and Harrisons.

I like all of them except for Rafe

I have a Harrison and he's not naughty!

Not keen on surnamey names personally, but like Lewis best from your choices. Lewis Brooks would go well together :)

Like Jake as nickname for Jacob. Agree with Deaddei about Rafe.

Harrison isn't my cup of tea but I do think the longer name sounds better with your 'short' Brooke.
Rafe, Jake etc are a bit short.
Do you like any other longer names?

If you like Lucas and Jake, then how about Luke?

Spouting personal taste/prejudices here, so feel free to ignore but:

Lewis and Harrison - went to school with v. chavvy examples of each. Can't get over the association.

Lucas - goes well with your LN but a bit 'now' and may date. Makes me think of a cad.

Rafe - love it!

Jake - too many 'k' sounds with Brooks.

Have you considered Louis as similar to Lucas and Lewis?

Or how about Lawrence?

LOL! Harrison Brooks is the name of a debt management company DH had dealings with...
Harrison is my sister's surname, and is not, imo, a first name.

I used to work at John Lewis, so again associate Lewis with a surname.

Lucas- i like
Jake - I like
Rafe- is a bit pretentious, but you could call him Ralph and pronounce it Rafe.

actually it wasn't called Harrison Brooks, it was Harrington...meant to say they sound the same!!

I agree that Jake doesn't go well with your surname. I dislike Harrison. Lewis is quite nice. I love Rafe and Ralph.

Lucas or Lewis.

DP doesn't really like longer names - tends to prefer short and simple... although oddly, he does like Llewellyn (Lewi). I'm not so sure!

The others are a bit over used now.

I prefer Luca to Lewis or Lucas with your surname, I just feel the need to drop one of the 's's iykwim.

Harrison is ok and I love Rafe and Jake but I think Jacob sounds better than Jake.

I like Jake - think it goes really well with your surname - sounds a good, strong and straightforward name; really don't like Lewis/Lucas type names - sound too wishy washy; Rafe is pretentions and Harrison is (to me) a surname. .

I find Rafe a bit camp for some reason, maybe just due to Rafe Fiennes not being the most butch guy in the world.

Lewis is a bit sidekicky, not a heroic name.
Lucas, Harrison and Jake all sound more like leading characters in their own films.

Lucas at a push, the others are a nah from me. They're very 'meh' names. Rafe, very pretentious.

I think Rafe is lovely.
Lewis, nice but very popular here in Scotland.
Lucas I quite like.
Harrison is ok, but I think Harris is much nicer.

Of course i would like the name Jake...DS5's name .

I do like Harrison and Lewis,but quite popular, don't like Lucas but i do like Luca..but i don't think it goes with the surname.
