One of the ladies in my church has a new granddaughter in the US, but she was told by email that her name is Nimue and we were trying to work out a pronunciation......

I'd have thought it was 'nim-way' or 'nim-oo-ay', like the Arthurian woman.

Deciduousblonde · 10/01/2011 11:17

I haven't a clue! I guess 'Nim-Way' would be the closest thing to it.

I'm perplexed...

LaTristesse · 10/01/2011 11:31

My first thought was Ni-moo!
Does it have an accent on the e, that would make a difference...?

Hedwig3 · 10/01/2011 11:49

My first thought was Nimmoo.

My second thought was Derek Nimmo Blush

Chil1234 · 10/01/2011 11:51

It's pronounced "Throat-Warbler Mangrove", of course....
