Addie and Maggie

We have a three year old DD called Margot, Maggie for short - in fact, Maggie is pretty much all we call her! I am 32 weeks pregnant with DD2 and DH and I had agreed on Adeline as her first name with the nickname Addie (which we both love).

However, it has only just entered my head, are Maggie and Addie to similiar and a bit rhymey?

Would you think it was strange or silly if you met Maggie and Addie siblings?

Many thanks x

They do sound similar but are lovely, and unusual too. I know twins called Abigail and Madeline ( Abby and Maddy) and I don't see any problem with it.

I'd think it was a bit of a tonguetwister.

I think they sound fine together, lovely names x

Both nice names. I don't see a problem.

I think it would be fine.

Margot is such a lovely name that it is a shame you don't really use it at all! Sad

Using Margot more would solve the problem too Grin

I don't see a problem, they are far enough removed not to sound too simlilar.

I have a Rachael, and was going to call her brother Mitchell. I saw a problem there! Grin

Both lovely names, btw. Addie is very pretty.

I agree, Margot is far too pretty to ignore, call them both Margot and Adeline and not Maggie and Addy!
