We have names

So DH and I agree on the following for our quads. They are to go with DHs kids Patrick, Heather, Jonathan + Matthew, my kids Frederick + Edna, and our son, Wilson:

4 girls: Annie + Ada + Martha + Mabel
4 boys: Sidney + Stanley + Donald + Douglas
3 girls, 1 boy: Annie + Martha + Beatrice + Sidney
3 boys, 1 girl: Sidney + Donald + Laurence + Annie
2 of each: Sidney + Stanley + Annie + Ada

Just need to figure out middle names now which is even harder.

Wow! there's a job and a half - congratulations! Can I ask, is there a reason why some ypu have a boys name, for instance, in the 3 boys one girl situation that isn't in the 4 boys option? (Just being nosy about how yo chose)

It was a long process lol with lots of talks about initials lol.

My favourites are Annie, Ada, Sidney + Stanley. It's pure coincidence the girls and boys start with the same letter. My 3rd fave girls nameis Martha, my 3rd fave boys is Donald.

If they are 4 the same, we chose a 2nd M or 2nd D name so that we have 2 sets of 2 with the same initials.

If they are 3 of 1, 1 of the other, we chose different initials purely because we aren't as keen on other names beginning with those letters (I'm confusing myself here). So for instance, we could have Annie, Ada, Martha + Donald, but we don't want two to have the same initial, and two not to...

I really hope that makes sense as I can't describe it any better...

I don't understand why, in the 3:1 scenario, one of the names changes for each gender.

I have a little Mabel, get quite a few compliments on her name. Her middle name is Eliza, although I liked Rose too.

My advice would be choose names beginning with different letters for kids of the same sex as cards will come to Miss A xxxxx and you won't know if it's for Annie or Ada.

I like all the names you've chosen, but if I'm going to be really, really, really picky, Donald and Douglas remind me of the twin trains in Thomas The Tank Engine.
