Love Elizabeth Hope :)

CarGirl · 11/12/2010 20:48

I have an Elizabeth ......... Hope I think with 4 syllables a one syllable 2nd name is good. Mine has a 3 syllable name between the two!

anonymosity · 11/12/2010 21:05

Something shorter,

Elizabeth Jane
Elizabeth Mae
Elizabeth Joy
Elizabeth Clare

Northernrose · 11/12/2010 21:25

Elizabeth Hope

...for the same reason as Cargirl..I think a long first name and short middle name (or vice versa) sounds really good! Xmas Smile

Loonies · 11/12/2010 21:40

Elizabeth Hope or Elizabeth Mabel

Also like Elizabeth Alice

BarbieLovesKen · 11/12/2010 21:51

Oh Elizabeth is so elegant!. Beautiful name.

Anyway, Elizabeth Hope here - for definate. That said, when I read thread title, before I seen that you werent looking for suggestions I thought Elizabeth Grace is lovely.

hellview96 · 11/12/2010 21:55

we are naming our next little one Elizabeth Mary (Mary after Grandma's)

Shortened to Beth for daily use :)

ShoppingDays · 11/12/2010 21:55

Elizabeth Phoebe - the th and Ph are awkward to say together
Elizabeth Mabel - OK but I'm just not keen on Mabel
Elizabeth Sophie - again, the th and S are awkward to say together
Elizabeth Eleanor - the names are too similar, both 3 syllable and starting with El
Elizabeth Hope - gorgeous :)
Elizabeth Harriet - quite nice

DanceInTheDark · 11/12/2010 21:58

Elizabeth Phoebe
Elizabeth Mabel
Elizabeth Sophie

  • i like these the other way ie Phoebe Elizabeth

Elizabeth Eleanor - don't like this it's too tongue twisty

Elizabeth Hope - like this

Elizabeth Harriet- don't like this

CarGirl · 11/12/2010 22:08

Eliabeth Kate
Elizabeth May
Elizabeth Ann
Elizabeth Grace
...... Joy

But not

Elizabeth Ruth

CarGirl · 11/12/2010 22:13

.... Dawn
...... Gail

Actually

Elizabeth sophia works okay

BikeRunSki · 11/12/2010 22:20

Hope

busybusybumblebee · 11/12/2010 22:27

Thank you all...

DH favourite is Hope :) And I really like it, and agree with the one syllable 'thing'

Loonies I really like Elizabeth Alice, but it is my great-mother and my DH is not keen on using family names!

Barbie As nice as it is, I feel like Grace is a fill-in name around here!

hellview nn Beth here too!

CarGirl Love Elizabeth Kate, but it's out of the question, as already loved within the family

Hmm yes, see your point about Grace. I dont know any but feel exactly the same about Rose (despite being beautiful) is a shockingly over used fill in name where I am.

So you think Elizabeth Hope it is then?
(beautiful, with lovely meaning)

CarGirl · 11/12/2010 22:38

My E Hope is because she was my Hope for the future, her nn is buffy though Grin

busybusybumblebee · 11/12/2010 23:08

Barbie I feel a bit of a cheat because I'm not actually expecting at the mo! It's a name for the future! Hoping for DC2 within the next couple of years, but don't want to tempt fate by stating that that will be who the name is for - if that makes sense?! But yes, I think (atm) the decided girl name is Elizabeth Hope :)

CarGirl Where does Buffy come from?! :)

Elizabeth Hope flows the best! ...and sounds just divine!!! x

CarGirl · 11/12/2010 23:14

For me from a girl I used to know who got it from the Queen Mum - she must be about 20 now

For Dh from the vampire slayer Shock

Also we already had a Libby in the family Angry

busybusybumblebee · 11/12/2010 23:21

CatGirl I like it a lot!

I have an elizabeth ellen so i love eleanor. :)

I know a Hope Elizabeth and an Elizabeth Josephine.

AllieW · 14/12/2010 10:34

Elizabeth Sophie is my favourite, although I think it would probably work better as Elizabeth Sophia. My sister is Elizabeth Helen, so that's also a possibility.
