Not even ttc, but am compiling my list for DC3 nonetheless.

I really like this name, which is French (and a feminine version of Fabian, I think), but was curious as to what folk thought since it's not at all common here. (I don't have French heritage by the way, just like the name).

I think the name is fine, but with French names you do have to imagine how they'll sound when said by English people. IME a French accent can make most names sound wonderful. If you live in deepest Essex though it might come out sounding a bit footballers wives.

How's it pronounced? I'd guess either Fay-bee-enn or Fabby-enn? I think others might not know either.

It's Fabb-yenn, I quite like it, I think it's an old lady name in France maybe it's due a revival Wink

I know a Fabienne (lives in London) and everyone calls her Fab - I really like it! And she def lives up to her name, she is indeed fab! Grin

i like it. i don't think it's an old lady name in france yet is it? i thought it was like jennifer, Claire is here. could be wrong though.
