Well what do you think?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Poledra · 09/12/2010 16:35

I love Maeve, but DH was having none of it. Not so fond of Cora.

wigglesrock · 09/12/2010 16:36

I like Cara not Cora, ps please spell it Meabh, if you end up using it.

Wheelybug · 09/12/2010 16:39

Maeve - lovely.

We were definitely definitely decided on it for dd1 until 35 weeks when we realised it didn't sound great with our surname.

Lora69 · 09/12/2010 16:40

I love Cora. Spot on.

AitchTwoOh · 09/12/2010 16:41

i would spell it Meabh, yes. but then i know a lab called cora.

tummytickler · 09/12/2010 16:41

I love them both, prefer Cora, prefer Coral to Cora.
Maeve is so lovely, but with May/May so popular I feel it gets lost in them.

theagedparent · 09/12/2010 16:44

Cora is lovely

EauRudolph · 09/12/2010 16:47

I love Cora, it was on our list but didn't sound right with our surname.

Sparklywine · 09/12/2010 16:47

Cora is lovely. Hadn't heard of it until Downton Abbey, it's quite old-fashioned isn't it, so probably heading for a bit of a renaissance. Maeve is also cute, good choices!

Sparklywine · 09/12/2010 16:48

Rudolph, doesn't sound good with mine either, they sort of slosh together in a drunken way Grin

midnightexpress · 09/12/2010 16:48

Prefer Cora. It's lovely.

Lora69 · 09/12/2010 16:51

Theres also Coral, Coralie and Coraline x

Whitethorn · 09/12/2010 16:52

I have a daughter called Mary - does that rule out Maeve? Too alike.
I love Coraline but the film puts me off.

Whitethorn - I LOVE the name Mary - it is very high on our list if dc5 is a girl.
I think Mary and Maeve is too similar though - sorry. Mary and Cora together are absolutely divine! Coralineis lovely. What about Caroline or Carolina?

flopsy1974 · 09/12/2010 17:10

Cora is lovely.

skippingturtle · 09/12/2010 17:24

Cora for me! Sounds lovely with Mary and is a lovely sound on its own. More unusual than Maeve/Meabh I'd think too.

LetThereBeRock · 09/12/2010 17:26

Cora is lovely, much nicer than Maeve.

porkchops · 09/12/2010 18:05

I really like Cora or Coralie.

Maeve makes me think of Steptoe for some reason, I can imagine him shouting "Maeve! where's me biscuits?"

cilldara · 09/12/2010 18:14

I have a Maeve, but she is spelled Méadhbh!

We live in Ireland though!

Whitethorn · 09/12/2010 18:15

Tummytickler I highly recommend Mary. Its unusual without being too out there. I like Caroline but DH has a cousin hes despises of that name so its a no go

Cora just reminds me of apple cores and corers, I'm afraid! I do like Cara and Coralie though.

Personally not keen on Maeve either and I do think it's too similar to Mary (which I love).

pastahat · 09/12/2010 20:13

Really like Cora, it sounds beautiful

mcfluffle · 09/12/2010 20:16

I have a cousin called Cora and she loves her name!! Go with whatever name feels right when you meet you baby :)

panettoinydog · 09/12/2010 20:17

I like Cara.

Maternelle · 09/12/2010 20:19

I love love Maeve.
