We've pretty much decided on this as a girls name, can anyone think of any dodgy connotations for it? Hmm

Really really like it, can't think of any bad nicknames...! But hey I could be wrong x

ShoppingDays · 29/11/2010 14:19

It's nice :) Can't think of anything wrong with it.

brimfull · 29/11/2010 14:20

nice

Psammead · 29/11/2010 16:48

Can't think of any negatives. Is quite nicknameable, but for me that would be a plus.

BigChiefOrganiser · 29/11/2010 16:50

I really like this, and would shortlist if we go for DC3. Probably Sera for short.

wigglesrock · 29/11/2010 17:08

It's lovely, it's the name of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner dd2 but don't think that's particular negative.

spidookly · 29/11/2010 17:48

I love this. Use the whole name, it's so lovely.

AbiAbi · 29/11/2010 18:05

I love it- This is my girls name if I ever have another DD!

I'd spell it Seraphine and use Seffi or Fi as a nickname.

TooImmature2BMum · 29/11/2010 18:15

Semolina? Bit of a stretch, mind you, so you might be safe!

moragbellingham · 29/11/2010 19:51

I love it but do a bit more research. I couldn't have it due to our surnameSad.

My name is not very common, and after doing some research I now know why. My parents didn't have access to the internet all those years ago and just thought it was a nice name.

moragbellingham · 29/11/2010 19:51

I'm not saying that it does have any dodgy connotations BTW.

lilly13 · 30/11/2010 17:36

I prefer Serafima which is an ancient Slavic name of Greek origin (short form: Fima)... Never heard of Seraphina, but sounds ok.

ValiumSingleton · 30/11/2010 17:40

not keen. bit ecclesiastical and despite the fact that it will start out being different, it will be Sara eventually. I'd bet.

CoteDAzur · 30/11/2010 17:49

I like it.

mumtoxii · 30/11/2010 19:17

My 6 year old is Seraphina Elizabeth, so obviously I love the name. She is often called Sephy.

Lonnie · 30/11/2010 23:50

I love it love it it was on our shortlist for dd3 but she didnt "feel" like a Seraphina when she was born I sthink think it is a beautiful name

duchesse · 30/11/2010 23:54

My niece is one. I think it's lovely.

duchesse · 30/11/2010 23:54

My Dsis and her Dh call her Saphy.

strumpet82 · 01/12/2010 10:25

Few, glad that name got a good response, I was dreading so awful nickname linked to it that I was unaware of.
