You don't have to have a middle name you know :)

can you use your or DH's name as a middle name? or an elderly relative? We used our friend's name for a middle nme, because he introduced DH and I to eachother (also it gave DS the initials OAK :o).

Well, a name that would go with your surname should they (or you) go off the first name. Be careful of acronyms, of course. Any family members you'd like to honour?

Elsa Beatrice
Elsa Meredith

A family name as a middle name is always lovely.

Wow, thanks for the speedy replies.

Would love to use a family name.
DS has DP's grandfather's name as middle name, so really it's my family's turn but they do have some peculiar names!

Some lovely suggestions there BlueChampagne, definitely on my wavelength, there are actually a couple of family names there too.

Would love Oscar Arthur (my great grandfather) but DP has pointed out sounds a bit like arthroscopy Grin

My grandmother had a lovely but very unusual foreign name which could be a bit too Hmm but I love Bea / Beatrice which starts with the same letter.
DP has pulled a face at Bea but I might wait until he is in the awestruck phase of my having given birth when he might feels he owes me and then suggest it again if we have a daughter Grin

I heard of someone who couldn't decide on a middle name, and they let each set of grandparents choose one.

Or just don't have one.

Good luck for the birth. Exciting!
