I'm 31 weeks, and finding the whole thinking of a name really stressful. We only have one name we both really like - Holly. But I have got really paranoid that because its quite popular, but also because there are so many similar sounding names - molly, polly olly (olivia), ellie.... that when she's older I will get really sick of it, or call her name and get 20 children come running!!

It's lovely - there aren't many round here.

I know only one. It's a lovely name.

I only knew one about 15 yrs ago (who was 4 at the time) and haven't met one since. If you like it use it. How about a middle name that can be used as an alternative, if indeed you find a dozen Hollys in the playground?

but seriously its popularity is only about 33rd. I taught two in ten years. Other than Daviva McCall's kids (holly,tilly)i don't know of any recent Hollys.

Holly hunter/willoughby/valance/golightly are all quite pretty. How you/she feels ten years from now who can say? A friend of mine at college called her DD jordan....years before miss price started getting her tits out. Another friend's DD was called jade....years before east angular lady.

but Holly rocks! obv i am biased.

Love Holly and if we were having a girl it would possibly be our choice (having boy though) I don't actually know many others - not very little ones anyway, so wouldn't worry about it being too popular.
