I like Oliver and Joseph out of those the best.

Dando · 12/11/2010 21:56

Joseph.

Jojay · 12/11/2010 21:57

Oliver

cece · 12/11/2010 21:58

Joseph or Jake.

There are loads of Charlies and Olivers around here...

Greenwing · 12/11/2010 22:17

Are you aware that Oliver was the number one boys name for last year - thousands of them!

Joseph is my favourite of the four.
Oliver Cromwell puts me off!

sophiesmummie · 12/11/2010 22:23

I find them all too popular/dull.

jellybeans · 12/11/2010 22:33

Jake is my favourite but I like joseph as well, others too popular.

Trying2bgd · 12/11/2010 22:39

Charlie or Jake

SoLongAsItsHealthy · 12/11/2010 22:41

Jake.

It's the least "common" (frequent) of the four.

mopsyflopsy · 12/11/2010 22:43

I agree - they're all too common/overused. If I had to choose one, I'd say Joseph.

lilly13 · 13/11/2010 09:19

Charlie or Jake

KenDoddsDadsDog · 13/11/2010 09:22

Joseph
Jake very common around these parts.

expectingno3 · 13/11/2010 10:07

Charlie or Oliver

LouMacca · 13/11/2010 10:50

Don't like Jake.

The other names are great but Oliver and Charlie are very popular. I would go for Joseph (Joe).

sensiblesusannigella · 13/11/2010 13:44

Joseph is the most classic, won't age.

rachel1970 · 13/11/2010 14:46

All too common for me personally. But Oliver has the nicest sound imo.

Tidey · 13/11/2010 14:49

I don't give a rat's ass how popular each name is. Both my DC have names that always seem to be in the top twenty name lists. They're popular because they are good names. I like Charlie and Jake most from your list. Good luck and best wishes.

CharlieBoo · 13/11/2010 15:57

I'm with Tidey.... They are top 20 for a reason, they're lovely names...Charlie and Oliver personally.....don't like Jake at all and Joseph is nice but do you like Joe?

scottishmummy · 13/11/2010 16:10

in scotland jake=manky headbanger.so not jake or jakey.and not ned either as ned=plooky ne'er do well

whoknowswhatthefutureholds · 13/11/2010 16:18

joseph, oliver and charlie all great names.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 13/11/2010 16:21

If it were me, I would go Joseph. It is DS1s middle name but also I think there are a lot of Charlies, Jake I'm not sure about and Oliver is apparently on the up again.
I know of 2 new Olivers in the last 6 months or so.

I also just think Joseph is a nice name. :) And Joe is a lovely NN.

LynetteScavo · 13/11/2010 16:22

Joseph

Ooopsadaisy · 13/11/2010 16:28

I have a 14 year old Joseph - known as Joe. A good blokey name.

Our cat (now deceased) was Oliver - known as Ollie, but that shouldn't put you off.
I like all these names actually.

harleymars · 13/11/2010 21:48

Charlie and Jake already sound dated to me. And they are always a bit scally IME.

Joseph all the way!
