It doesn't flow at all well.
Mila Alexandra - nope.
If you had another consonant between them, it woudl work better.
A friend of DH's has named his DD Milan (blech but still) - that would work better.
Or, if you're wedded to those two names, switch them around - Alexandra Mila flows much better.

FairyArmadillo · 07/11/2010 13:47

I like it.

SkippyjonJones · 07/11/2010 14:19

I think it does flow well, especially with a long surname eg Mila Alexandra Drosophila, made up surname obviously but sounds good Grin Princess of the fly kingdom.

Faaamily · 07/11/2010 14:27

I think it's nice and flows well.

IntergalacticHussy · 07/11/2010 14:28

Love Alexandra, not sure about the rest

mathanxiety · 07/11/2010 15:49

It's gorgeous. I love Mila (much nicer than Millie, Ella, etc -- in fact in a different league altogether). I think it's a lovely combination.

juneybean · 07/11/2010 15:49

Is it "meela" or "miller"

babynelly2010 · 07/11/2010 16:10

Thanks for all the comments! Would anyone prefer Milla instead of Mila?

OP posts:
juneybean · 07/11/2010 16:29

I prefer Mila for the spelling :)

amelem · 07/11/2010 16:34

Lovely, they work really well together.

Duffstuff · 07/11/2010 17:14

Beautiful combination - go for it Smile

OmicronPersei8 · 07/11/2010 17:21

I love it. Smile

mathanxiety · 07/11/2010 20:21

I think I prefer Mila too, because Milla might be pronounced Mill-a and would possibly turn into Millie, in school.

smother · 07/11/2010 20:29

Like it a lot. But what letter does your surname begin with?

(the suggestion of Mila Alexandra Drosophila has mad initials...)

hulabula · 07/11/2010 21:17

Lovely! Pronounced Meela.

lilly13 · 10/11/2010 13:00

Mila sounds too short. I like Ludmila better (pronounced as Ljud-mil-la), but it is East European and may not suit your surname.... I love Alexandra!

abeautifulbutterfly · 10/11/2010 13:04

Mila is our diminutive for our daughter (Milena), so I'm positively biased Smile. Also Central European (she is named after the Czech Milena Jesenska, Kafka's feisty lover, but it works in most CE languages)
