Edie?

Hi all. Do you think Edie can be a stand-alone name or should it be used only as a nn for Edith. Ta!

I like it - as standalone too!

Edie is fine by itself, a really nice name actually. The only Edie I knew though was an Edina not Edith.

Love it - was my second choice for DD - definitely stand alone.

I like it, however I thought it was Eddie mispelt at first.

Edie was our choice for DC2 but he turned out to be a boy.
We were going for Edie Matilda.

I love it and I'm considering it for the little one I have due in May.

I was inspired by the fabulous Grey Gardens.

Oh and I also think it works both ways...I think I would be inclined to use the full Edith on the birth certificate.

I love it. The main character in a monthly fiction story in Just Seventeen was called Edie. Short for Edith.

Perfect on it's own.
