DC3 is due in Feb. We have 2 DSs and no idea what sex number three is. As the time gets closer I'll prob be on here a lot as quite stuck with boys names, but that's another thread!

I've always loved the name Louisa, but don't really like the nickname Lou (which I'm sure is an unavoidable nickname).

Any inspired nn ideas for Louisa would be great!

Sorry to repeat myself, but as a Louisa, I am not a 'Lou' despite people continuing to call me it. I certainly have never 'grown into it'.

It's horrible.

and that looks a bit of a random comment, but was in fact a response to expectingno3's post :)

Louisa is a gorgeous name, only alternative I can think is Lulu but I'd just insist she was always Louisa.

Isa, potentially?

[Disclaimer: I may perhaps be influenced by the fact that my children have been singing the dratted "Turn the wheel, Isa" song from ^Dora The Explorer" all over half term]

My mum calls me Louja which is infinitely preferable to Lou. Hence my name on mn!

I am louisa and am called Isa or Izzy [plenty of blonde moments in my life so Dizzy Izzy is appropriate] Grin

All the Louises and Louisas I know are known as Lou. Not keen personally as too close too loo.
