This isn't for me but I was asked for help and am stumped so please help me help my friend!

Rather specific requirements as follows:

Girls name
French but transferrable into English (child is French but parents are v keen on English and have typically French but difficult to transfer names themselves)
Traditional
Cannot begin with a vowel, M, R, N, C, T
Cannot end in an 'ee' sound or 'r'
Sister called Fabienne Louise, brother called Julien Benoit
Preferably a saints name

Most of the ones that spring to mind fall foul of the barred initials!

Might they like:

Ines (Agnes) - though that may well be mispronounced
Isabelle (Isabella/Elizabeth)
Anne (Anna)

Can't start with a vowel unfortunately...it's a middle name but for everyday use IYSWIM.

You were all thanked very flowerily for your help Grin especially by her DH who I think was despairing of ever getting the baby named as every name he proposed was rejected!

What about Katharine (french spelling!) Am I too late to play?

Rhubarbgarden · 04/11/2010 19:47

Ooh! That's given me a warm glow. Pleased to be of help. I knew a lovely Sandrine years ago.
