Does anyone have an opinion on Fisher as a middle name? DH came up with it and I didn't know what to say. We have plenty of time to come up with ideas, but he's already very taken with this one....

Gregory Fisher _ ?
William Fisher _ ?
_ Fisher ?

unless it's a family name - i can't see the appeal miself

Just make sure your surname isn't Price! :o

MaryMungo · 28/10/2010 12:07

His maternal grandfather's last name. Can't use first name as it's his brother's and nephew's and he had no middle name.

Sounds like a sirname. Wasn't someone on Home and Away called Fisher? Donald Fisher the teacher and he tended to be referred to as Fisher.

Its not a name, its a sirname. I also hear Price too.

Glad it's only a middle name.

Gregory and William are both good names.

cece · 29/10/2010 10:07

Hidden away as a middle name - OK but a bit strange.

First name -ha ha ha!

diddl · 29/10/2010 10:20

I like it tbh.

MaryMungo · 29/10/2010 14:16

As soon as he mentioned it I said "That might be a good middle name". Didn't want the possibility of first name to occur to him Grin

I like the idea of using as a middle name.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 29/10/2010 14:28

what about huntsman or butcher. How peculiar.

MuffinMouse · 29/10/2010 14:30

It's a bit odd (sorry). Anything that sounds like Fish as a name... It does sound like a surname.

bundlebelly · 29/10/2010 14:31

Jeremy Fisher?

Fisher T. Fish was a Billy Bunter character, FWIW. Have you already used your maiden name? Its not that bad, but you could go dow the route of a name like Dagon, for the Fisher connection...
