Alliteration - Helena H

Hello,

Although it's probably way too early to think about baby names (13wks), I can't help it and we've already pretty much decided on ours. I just wanted a quick opinion on the alliteration of this name:

Helena Healy (Nell for short).

In my head that sounds distinguished (pronounced Helen-a) and rolls off the tongue nicely but just want second opinion. We're not going to tell anyone 'in the real world' our choices so would appreciate feedback!

(Robin is our boys name).

Sounds nice to me. I like the name Helena and I like alliteration between first and surname as a general rule.

true feedback is that i know someone called helena h+two syllable name and everyone called her helena handcart behind her back.

I don't know....That doesn't sound great to be really honest. I think that's hard to say. Some letters work. Like Bobby Blackmore, or Greta Garbo ...!

I'd use Nell short for Eleanor. Eleanor Healy sounds much better than Helena Healy.

I don't think it works. It doesn't flow well.

Speaking as someone with an alliterative name which I hate, I would advise against it - although it is not the worst alliterative name I have heard. I always feel a bit embarrassed saying my name, and people often comment on it (usually along lines of 'that's a cool name', though I do not agree!) I never understood why my parents could not have picked one of the many lovely names starting with one of the 25 other letters in the alphabet! Like the suggestion of Eleanor though.

Sounds lovely. I like alliterative names. Love Helena but can't use it as it's my boss's name and I'm not up for that level of sucking up :o

I don't think it flows either.. It's difficult to say the 2 'h' sounds without almost over-pronouncing them..

I love the name Helena and think it seems a more interesting choice than Eleanor (also lovely) as there are so many Ellies around.

Helena Healy as a full name sounds okay but a little bit repetitive and IMO Eleanor does flow better.

Robin Healy sounds great!
