And does it matter that we already have an Eva so both children with with names begin with same letter?

eli is better imo

initials dont matter exept for bank statements when they are 16 - i habe a household with the J's same bank so i open all the statements and often get a shock when we only have £1.34 ....then i realise its my sons bank statement!

yummymummie1 · 23/10/2010 16:55

I love Elijah and Eli for short. I dont think it matters at all that they will have the same initial. Me, my mum and my sisters are all S's and we never really had any issues.

Skyrg · 23/10/2010 16:57

Elijah is nice, don't think it's too popular. I don't think that the same letter thing matters at all, except as Custardo says for post :)
Eva and Elijah sound fine together. Would you shorten it? Eli and Eva sound a bit similar.

Yes Elijah would be Eli

Dislike. Sorry.

sparkle12mar08 · 23/10/2010 18:51

Love it, especially with the softer original pronunciation - less keen on a hard 'juh' sound.

seaturtle · 23/10/2010 19:37

Love it.

toddlerama · 23/10/2010 19:39

Love it Smile

pintyblud · 23/10/2010 19:42

Disliek big time.

BelligerentGhoul · 23/10/2010 19:44

I like Elias or Ellis better but Elijah is okay. But I absolutely wouldn't consider having two children whose names begin with the same letter.

bluecheesedip · 23/10/2010 19:50

ZENZIZENZIZENZIC · 23/10/2010 21:01

Really lovely. I think it's fine with Eva too.

pearlgirl · 23/10/2010 21:27

Really love it. We used it for ds4 in April - he gets called by both Eli and Elijah.

randomimposter · 23/10/2010 21:31

it's lovely
initials don't matter

bytheMoonlight · 23/10/2010 21:32

Do you get a good reaction to it pearlgirl?

Sariah · 23/10/2010 21:33

I have an Elijah :) He is 17 months old. I also have an Ellen.

I usually call him lije for short.

jinglesticks · 23/10/2010 21:37

Very nice. I had considered it if I had a boy, but it is getting very popular now.

TheUnmentioned · 23/10/2010 21:41

love it

Spookberries · 23/10/2010 21:47

Much prefer Elias.

Elijah is very popular in the US, where I'm from so that's put me off quite a lot.

However, Eli is lovely and Elias is one of our top 2 at the moment. :)

pearlgirl · 23/10/2010 21:58

Everybody has been positive about it and we had considered lots of names as we have 4 boys and they all have 3 names each. One or two people have said 'oh that's unusual" but then go on to say they like it. We don't know anyone else who has used it locally.
