My cousin has this name, she gets called 'H' not sure what her friends call her. Grown up now. Classic though. Only know one.

I have a Harriet - she only answers to Harriet at home, at school some kids call her Harry and her dickhead biodad calls her H.

Beautiful name and still not that common.

LOVE IT!

Hattie is the perfect nickname.

RockBat · 18/10/2010 21:00

I have one. She's called Harriet, Hattie and Hatsy. I initially wanted Harry as a nickname but she didn't suit it.

RockBat · 18/10/2010 21:00

She's 2.9yo btw so the nicknames are all our own work, don't know what schoolfriends will do to her!

Lovely. My sister is Harri (with a heart over the i, she is 12 Smile). My friend's daughter is Hattie. A very strong yet feminine name.

LetThereBeRock · 18/10/2010 21:03

Love it.

cupcakebakerer · 18/10/2010 21:03

Ooh I'm loving the positive reaction!

And the suggested nicknames are v cute - we were worried she'd get Harry. Never thought of Hattie and the others mentioned.

I have a Harriet - and she is called Hattie most of the time. Only know one other Harriet IRL, and she is an adult.
