Possible names - opinions please..

Hi There

We don't know what we are having, but we do know we are having trouble picking ANY names, let alone agreeing on them! We already have DTD's with popular flower names, so don't really want to go down that route again, but maybe something connected?

Gabriel (Gabe - DH's fave)
Caspar (my fave)
Freddy

Our surname begins with an F

Edie (if Edith on bc) and Gabriel

Don't like Posy, and certainly not with flower name siblings.

Elsie - lovely but prefer Elsa

Edie - sweet

Florance - nah

Gabriel - grand but too much teasing potential for me

Casper - excellent

Freddy - meh

Love Caspar. What about Elise instead of Elsie. Posy is short for Rosemary - could be pretty.

Posy is a diminutive for Josephine. I love, love, love it and wanted it for DC3 (but was a DS) and would have had it for it for DC4 but is another DS :(.

From your boys' list - I prefer Caspar but they're all nice.

My surname begins with F, too, so for that reason, I probably wouldn't choose Freddy as I'm not keen on alliteration, but I know that's down to personal preference - there's nothing wrong with it.

Posy - Twee. Definitely a nickname rather than full name IMO. Like Rosemary and Josephine as suggested.

Elsie - Also a nickname. Love Elsa if you like that?

Edie - Edith nn Edie would be nice

Florence - Very pretty if popularity doesn't bother you

Gabriel (Gabe - DH's fave) - Never been keen, very wet an teasable

Caspar (my fave) - I like it!

Freddy - Frederick is a great, solid name. Freddy too insubstantial.

I would go for Elsa or Frederick nn Elsie/Freddy

Elsie - don't like (associate it with old ladies)

Freddy - like, but would call child Frederick
