Esme?

just found out im having a little girl, i heard the name years back and it always stuck in my head as a really pretty name. im not sure if its a really lovely name though or am i just being silly. don't know anyone by that name so i thought i'd ask opinions.

So Esme? nice or not? and any suggestions for middle names, no family names i want to use.

Have you searched for previous threads discussing the name?

It always ends in an argument over how to pronounce it. And where its origins are. And if adding an é on the end is a crime against names.

It's a lovely name though.

I think its really sweet. But I love the old fashioned names. I also love Mable.
I have a niece called Sylvie which is gorgeous too.

I would have used Esme or Ines if I had had a daughter. Love it!!
