Was either going with Dulcie Amelia or Maia Amelia (scarlett and cleo were on our lists too)

but just saw Tallulah and I really like it!!

It can be spelt Tallula and a few other ways, but am I being completely crazy. My oh likes it too, but are we just going mad??

Thanks again for all your help you have been giving us!

I prefer it to your original choices although I'm not sure it fits with Amelia because of the A sounds.

kizzibear · 04/10/2010 19:36

we would change the middle name from amelia, as they dont flow

How about Tallulah Amelie? Tallulah Beth? Tallulah May?

SoupDragon · 05/10/2010 09:22

"One sounds like a lady, the other like a hooker."

I'd say one sounds wet and wussy and one sounds feisty and confident.

LaTristesse · 05/10/2010 09:25

I prefer Tallulah, with Maia as a close second. Dulcie sounds old-fashioned IMO...

kizzibear · 05/10/2010 13:35

Mixed opinions then. What would be your reaction if you heard a baby/little gitl/adults name as tallulah?

I like Talllulah and would have happily had it for our DD.
I don't understand what the middle name has to do with anything. I don't call my DD X X X just her first name.

LaTristesse · 05/10/2010 15:44

I think Tallulah works for all ages, she could shorten to Lula if she doesn't like the full version as she gets older...

kizzibear · 05/10/2010 16:04

I dont feel brave enough to use it now! Thanks everyone for help. I still love it, but something is holding me back from using it!

Not keen on Tallulah. Makes me think of the Jodie Foster character from Bugsy Malone... (manipulative little tart)

kizzibear · 05/10/2010 16:34

Lol, the bugsy Malone thing doesnt bother me, only cuz most names have someone famous who isnt very nice.

I could never have a child called Tallulah because an absolute bitch of one tried to steal my boyfriend when I was 14....

however if it didn't have this association I would think it was a nice name!

kizzibear · 05/10/2010 19:46

I wouldnt like to name my daughter after a boyfriend stealer either!

Oh I just don't know!
