DH and I can't agree on any boys names. He doesn't really have any ideas except Adam, and he's not really keen on that. What do you think of these?

Barnaby
Cameron
Caspar
Felix
Guy
Jaspar
Morten
Peter
Frederick (Freddie)
Hakon

I'll add Adam too.

I like Hakon (I assume you have Scandinavian roots) and its meaning.

Also like Barnaby and Jasper.

PaulineCampbellJones · 04/10/2010 13:47

Love Hakon (is it not Haakon?)and Barnaby.

mopsyflopsy · 04/10/2010 13:50

I really like Barnaby, Hakon and Morten. All three are lovely, classic names that aren't overused as many others.

Love Hakon (is it not Haakon?)

Yes you can have either, just figured that Hakon would translate more easily. We aren't Scandanavian but DH works in Sweden a lot. And DS2 is called Christian - so wanted something that went with it.

Just not sure if he'll always be pronouncing it for everyone (Hawk-on, or more correctly Hawk-oon.

It's actually my fave but DH thinks no-one will agree!

Christian and Haakon sound really good together, in length, style and heritageSmile.

I'm sure people will quickly learn to pronounce the name. Lots of names have different pronounciations (e.g. Esme, Madeleine etc) and it is not a problem.

Good point mf

Barnaby and Caspar for me.

BlueChampagne · 04/10/2010 16:27

Another vote for Hakon

nickelbabe · 04/10/2010 16:29

I like Frederick.

mathanxiety · 04/10/2010 18:43

Barnaby -- like a lot
Cameron -- like
Caspar -- Like a lot
Felix -- Love
Guy -- like a lot
Jaspar -- ok but maybe too much of a dog's name
Morten -- no please no; tis an Addams family type name, Morticia, mortician
Peter -- very nice
Frederick (Freddie) -- meh
Hakon -- LOVE

I'll add Adam too -- a bit wet, imo.

May I suggest Soren?

Hakon (or Haakon) and Christian would be really nice together. Lovely Scandinavian ring to them both.

serin · 05/10/2010 19:44

Well, I like Peter but then I'm dead boringSmile

SirBoobAlot · 05/10/2010 19:47

Like all of them apart from Hakon, just because it looks very uncomfortable written down.

MogTheForgetfulCat · 05/10/2010 21:12

Especially like Barnaby, Cameron (DS1! so biased), Morten and Peter.
