These are the only three names I like for DS2. I think at the minute, Rory is fave, but I would welcome other suggestions, or thoughts. I really like Max but it would sound totally ridiculous with out surname What do you think?

Oh - and any middle name suggestions to go with them? With DS1 it was easy as he had his grandfather's middle name (Thomas). Thanks!

I have a Rory. It's a brilliant name! Grin

Rory William
Rory Stewart
Rory Theodore
Joel Anthony
Joel David
Joel Frederick

I prefer Theodore to Theo; it feels more complete.

badcoverversion · 01/10/2010 13:08

I think Rory is lovely.

KERALA1 · 01/10/2010 13:31

I really really like Rory. Think James would sound good with it. The others are OK but always think Theo sounds abit of a weak name and Joel just reminds me of Billy Joel.

eth37 · 01/10/2010 13:37

Oh great - glad people seem to like Rory, I was worried people would snigger a bit. Agree that Rory James sounds lovely. Now just to work on DH....

Rory

THere are lots of Theos and even though I used to love it, I've gone off it a bit. O names seem over now, as a trend anyway. I still like Hugo and Leo though.

Joel I quite like. It sounds a bit like a girl's name though. I know it's not btw, but I still couldn't use it. Just personal choice. I feel the same about Noah.

DaisyDaresYOU · 02/10/2010 18:10

I actually really dislike theodore, love Theo though.

LetThereBeRock · 02/10/2010 23:40

Rory is ok. I prefer Joel though, followed by Theo.

Honeydragon · 02/10/2010 23:42

Rory Joseph
Rory Patrick

Definitely Rory. Great name.

tummytickler · 03/10/2010 11:03

I like Joel the best, Rory is quite nice too. Not a fan of Theo I am afraid, but if you do go for Theo, definately use Theodore on the bc.

Vine · 03/10/2010 15:28

Quite like them all. I think Saul fits with them.

telsa · 03/10/2010 20:45

Joel is a lovely name.

Secretwishescometrue · 03/10/2010 20:59

Oh def Rory its a great name! And I think it goes great with James too but I know a Rory Dylan he's hitting 30 and a total cool surfer music dude and I just love the name! Congrats btw :)

NormanNorris · 03/10/2010 20:59

Rory!!

I don't like Joel due to bad associations and I'm so bored of Theo as I know loads (5 within close friends and family)

HappyHugs · 04/10/2010 13:09

I have a Rory James. I get loads of compliments especially from men, who think it's a strong and 'cool' name.

eth37 · 05/10/2010 15:16

Hmm, still can't decide - thought we were set on Rory, but Joel creeping back as favourite. Think I have gone off Theo, really don't like Theodore and think it sounds a bit incomplete on its own, somehow. And a bit too trendy. Not sure of a middle name to go with Joel though... Atleast I have a while to go!!

kizzibear · 05/10/2010 16:39

I hate Joel-dont ask me why, but the others are good.

NKinDXB · 05/10/2010 17:01

Joel Nathan / Evan. Something ending in 'n' works for me. Don't know why.

All good though. I like Rory James.

PanicMode · 06/10/2010 19:01

I have a Theodore (Alexander John, known as Theo and a Rory James (Victor) - what great taste you have Smile.

I know everyone says there are hundreds of Theos, but I only know of one other (in the SE) and as yet, no Rorys. I also have a Rufus and there are more than one of them however!

PanicMode · 06/10/2010 19:01

Oh, and re Max - we almost chose Max instead of Theo - but there are 4 in my daughter's class (Y1) so in my experience, it is far more 'common' than Theo.

buttonmoon78 · 25/10/2010 22:52

I have a Joel David. I love it. And him Grin

metromum · 25/10/2010 23:53

Love Joel and Rory:
