I really like it but there is something of the Bond villain about it - maybe thats a good thing? Also my best friend had a German Shepherd dog called Otto.

of course it's a real name lol.

i wanted it for ds1 but DP vetoed it

HighlandlassinLondonshire · 25/09/2010 21:59

Otto is a German name, meaning wealth, My friend has an Otto and he's a real boy's boy! It's a great name.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 25/09/2010 21:59

It's alright but not great, a bit simple.

Rockbird · 25/09/2010 22:01

Silly bloke in A Fish called Wanda :o

meadowlarks · 25/09/2010 22:21

I love Otto. I knew a fantastic little boy called Otto whose parents were trapeze artists - it suited him completely! And whoever asked it if was a real name gets a Biscuit

nevergoogle · 25/09/2010 22:27

I like it. Reminds me of Anne Franks father Otto Frank.
Also the name of a lift manufacturer. That sort of thing seeps into your consiousness without you noticing.

mathanxiety · 26/09/2010 07:12

Great name.

Horton · 26/09/2010 09:14

I really like it but it reminds me irresistibly of A Fish Out of Water.

expectingno3 · 26/09/2010 10:12

Love it. A nice strong name for a boy. Only wish I could go for names like that - me and DH are worlds apart on boys names...

PaigeTurner · 27/09/2010 11:44

It's top of my 'brave' list.

thighsmadeofcheddar · 27/09/2010 11:47

I know one, he's a lovely little boy.

KERALA1 · 27/09/2010 13:21

Love it. Was on our list (we had a girl in the end). Think its German - my German MIL was horrified and said it was a name for a farm boy which made me like it even more Grin

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 27/09/2010 13:29

It's a fabulous name.

hatebeak · 27/09/2010 15:05

I suspect it's in line to be the next next (or maybe even next!) big thing - ends in "O" so will follow on from Arlo, Milo, Jago etc.... Like it though.

MrsMadWriggle · 27/09/2010 15:07

Reminds me of Kevin Kline in A Fish Called Wanda

girlafraid · 27/09/2010 15:07

I know a new baby called this, suspicions also this could be the next big thing

DastardlyandSmugly · 27/09/2010 15:13

I know an Otto and think it's lovely.

MackerelOfFact · 27/09/2010 15:16

I have one. I love it. It suits him down to the ground.

musicmadness · 27/09/2010 16:05

I like this name, you might have to explain you didn't name him after the Otto in the Simpsons however! A friend of mine has a little Otto and it suits him really well but she has been asked about the Simpsons quite a lot!
