Don't be so bloody silly.

stillfrazzled · 23/09/2010 11:47

I think you know, really - please tell me you do, anyway!

HowsTheSerenity · 23/09/2010 11:49

Well Indiana Jones was named after the dog.

Odelay · 23/09/2010 11:54

ha ha ha haaa ha ha ha.

no.

TrillianAstra · 23/09/2010 11:55

Indiana as second middle name.

So Thomas Frederick Indiana Jones.

He can tell people that he is just Tom Fred Jones, then on his wedding day everyone will have a good laugh.

SoupDragon · 23/09/2010 12:04

funny for you and everyone else, cruel for your child. Take your pick.

BuntyPenfold · 23/09/2010 12:12

I know a boy called Jessie, no not Jesse, Jessie with an I , 'after Jesse James' his father said.
The father complains that this boy is picked on.

Sad, but what to say? 'You named him Sue.'

I hope you are joking.

coraltoes · 23/09/2010 12:16

i'll assume you are joking.

marge2 · 23/09/2010 12:26

nah!

Ineedsomesleep · 23/09/2010 12:30

Think you need to get off your Planet and come into the real world.

nigglewiggle · 23/09/2010 12:30

I think if you were doing it because you really love the name, I would say go for it and don't worry what other people think. His generation will probably never have heard of Indiana Jones. But, as you want to do it to be 'funny' then I'd seriously qustion your sense of humour.

Wanderingsheep · 23/09/2010 12:33

Just plain cruel!

Wanderingsheep · 23/09/2010 12:33

Don't call him Tom/Thomas either!

TrillianAstra · 23/09/2010 12:37

Haha sheep, I wondered if someone would pick that up! Grin

pebblejones · 23/09/2010 12:43

My surname by marriage is Jones and when we get a dog we will call it Indiana, but no way would we give it to our DS! Having said that my brother calls my DS Indy every now and then!

pebblejones · 23/09/2010 12:46

I loved Thomas, but yes we couldn't pick that either or Grace if he had been a DD was a big no no too!

Panzee · 23/09/2010 12:46

You should call him Indiano. I always assume Indiana's a girl's name. :)

SirBoobAlot · 23/09/2010 12:51

Don't be an idiot.

GetOrfMoiLand · 23/09/2010 12:52

Mind you, my surname is Jones, any my fantasy baby boy's name is Inigo.

GetOrfMoiLand · 23/09/2010 12:52

Well, it will be Jones if and when I ever get round to getting married.

mathanxiety · 23/09/2010 19:12

Indiana is a horrible, smelly state full of rednecks. Just don't call your DC Gary Indiana Jones. Photo

planetalice · 25/09/2010 09:01

Point taken people - not sure your comments need to be quite so barbed - obviously people feel very very strongly about this. It was actually meant in a lighthearted manner - wrong forum obviously - my bad - back in my box :) :)

I've found that Baby Names is taken more seriously than most other forums. No idea why! :)
