Sibset ponderings

Our DS is named after one of my OH's favourite poets - Byron.

We're not in pig for No.2 yet but are considering if we were lucky enough to have another, what the jinkies would we call it?

So far we have:

Boys: Atticus or Dante

Girls: Anais or Harper.

But I'm not overly in love with any of them. Any suggestions on names to go in a sibset would be gratefully recieved

Erm, what's a sibset?

telsa · 13/09/2010 09:02

Coleridge, Wordsworth? Or even Keats. Or what about Shelley?!

kiwidreamer · 13/09/2010 09:04

Something about sibling set / set of siblings I'm guessing!

Atticus isnt my normal cup of tea and while I wouldnt have it on my lists I actually really like it (does that even make sense LOL) Dante is a bit... Mills and Boon for me!!

Anais is pretty but its the ... and Anais thing that gets me, Bryon and Anais, the double A I find a bit of a tounge twist but thats not a reason not to have it. Harper is a little, not harsh exactly but un-girly I guess, again not a reason not to chose it.

Personally I think you'd have to hold your new babe in your arms to feel which name suits him / her best, great short list tho!

Now Artemis & Delilah were on my girls list for B. I'd forgotten about those.

I really like Auden, Tristan, Elliot and I love Felix but OH has vetoed this from the start.

Shelly is a big fat no as it reminds me of a horrible girl from school and yes, that's what puts me off Dante too - it's a bit US Soap character isn't it?

Sibset= sibling set (of names)

I understand waiting to hold your baby before dieceding but it's something I do like to ponder over sometimes. Just to get a feel for what would sound right IYSWIM?

What about Dali for a girl?

Um, I really wouldn't go for another poet. Especially if you're also going to use their surname instead of first name. Isn't it just way too gimmick-y/twee..? Hmm
