We already have a Sam, so obviously I don't mind common (as in you hear them frequently) names. :)

Boys:
Jack
Finn
Rhys
Alexander
William

Girls:
Eleanora (DH's grandmother's name, nn possibly Elle)
Penelope (called Poppy, and I know, I know, but yes I can :o)
Philippa, nn Pippa
Caroline
Susannah

I like Philippa, but think I am biased as I know one IRL who is a wonderful woman! Also think Penelope is adorable, would she be Penny?

I'm of no help on your boys names as I really like all of them!

Clary · 12/09/2010 23:15

William
Willy not a problem btw, I know lots and lots of boys called William or Will and this never comes up (as the actress said...)

Yr girls' names are somewhat more unusual.
I quite like Pippa.

winnybella · 12/09/2010 23:18

kat2504 · 13/09/2010 20:38

Alexander for a boy, really like

Prefer Eleanor for a girl, without the A on the end.

Cortina · 14/09/2010 00:32

Prefer Leonora for a girl, hundreds of Elllies, Leonora is a classic from the past, stronger credentials than Eleanora, and very under used now, Leo or Nora as a nm.

Susannah and Penelope I like too.

William and Alexander from the boys list.

CheerfulYank · 14/09/2010 01:17

Hmm...so far there are no front runners! Sigh... :)

Finn - gorgeous name
Penelope/Poppy - but why not just go for Poppy as it is such a pretty name?

shimmerysilverglitter · 14/09/2010 11:52

Jack or Alexander.

Not keen on any of the girls names, sorry Blush.

CheerfulYank · 14/09/2010 20:13

Oh that's okay shimmery :) I like to have everyone's opinions, not just those who agree with me.

Isla I really do like Poppy, but feel like a more "serious", formal name might be needed to fall back on at some point? JMO. :)

pranma · 14/09/2010 22:29

Finn and Susannah [Sukey as nn]

DessieLou · 14/09/2010 22:37

What fantastic names!
Alexander is my fave of your boys names (and my nephew's name!).
Eleanora is lovely (and always nice to have family connections) although I do like Cortina's suggestion of Leonora. And I like all the others too, especially Pippa!
Not much help but there you go!

Bumbler · 14/09/2010 22:38

Finn and Eleanora

mathanxiety · 14/09/2010 23:30

I like Rhys and Alexander, and I like all the girls' names (sorry, no help at all) and Leonora too.

love4lady · 14/09/2010 23:31

Elle, William & Jack

good luck TTC cheerful!

chyler · 14/09/2010 23:41

Finn and Caroline, although I think I prefer Carolyn

nooka · 15/09/2010 02:21

I think you should have a girl - if fact maybe several Grin as they are all such nice names. Your boys names are all fine too (I'd probably go for William or Alexander), but your girls names are lovely.
