Opinions on Jessamine

Would really appreciate some opinions on the name Jessamine please. Also, struggling to come up with a middle name without it sounding too flowery or a bit of a mouthful. Our sn is 1 syllable and begins with an M so ideally not looking for a mn beginning with an M.

Thankyou x

Love it - though think I prefer Jessamy. This seems to mix it with Jasmine.

dizzydixies · 30/08/2010 17:44

Jessamy preferable imo

Bumperlicious · 30/08/2010 17:54

I really like it, prefer the spelling Jessamyn though.

Kathleen123 · 30/08/2010 18:02

It sounds a made up to me, I prefer Jessica or Jasmine.

Jessamine is the old version of Jasmine. I love it.

ValiumSingleton · 30/08/2010 18:36

Prefer Jessamy.

It sounds a bit "trying too hard" to me (sorry, you want honest opinions, right?).
Or like a cousin material to Melamine.

Never heard of it - it does sound made up though.

Jessamy I've heard of - but Jessamine sounds like 'Jess of mine' a bit. Not keen.

Have never posted before but couldn't resist posting to this....my name is Jessamine (pronounced Jessamin) - and I love it! :) I have actually never met another one (well, spelt the same way) so it's definitely unusual but I'd say go for it! (not that I'm biased or anything!) Wink I have always had lovely things said about my name....but it does get shortened to Jess alot of the time....
