I predicted it would be Florence

I was wondering to myself what SamCam's baby would be called and thought, "It'll be Flora or Florence, I bet". Except I didn't bet - apparently no-one did, even though it was there at 16-1 - more's the pity. I didn't even mention it to anyone, so now no-one believes me.

But I feel smug in the knowledge that I guessed it (also guessed there' be a Cornish connection somewhere too.)

I didn't think it would be Florence as Florence is becoming very popular I know of at least 4 or 5 little girls cslled Florence. I thought they would go for something slightly posher but suspect that they are trying to be seen as more middle class.

It is a lovely name.

I only know one Florence, but I'm in Scotland, which is usually a bit different from England. Interesting that it is seen as only middle class, as here it feels quite posh.
