Opinions please on Connie (Constance) and does it go with a surname which starts with c?

Opinions pleases on Dominic, Matthew and Elliott?

I have a friend with a Connie but it's short for Connelly.

Love love love Connie.

Dominic - nice. Bit different. Not my first choice but a good strong name.

Matthew - not keen

Elliott - tis OK.

Dominic is my favourite.

Connie is lovely but no keen on Constance. I'd just use Connie, it's very pretty.

Matthew is great, dh wanted to call ds Matthew but our last name starts with the same letters MathXXXXX so it would have been cruel!

Dominic is nice too but don't like Elliot, I prefer Ellis.

I know a little Constance (Connie) born last month! I think it's nice; personally I prefer Constance to Connie but the two have quite different feels which gives options later in life.

I like all those boys' names (so no help there).

i am also considering connie but not hugely keen on constance purely becuase it has a meaning and i think they are bound to turn out just the opposite!! (eg 'faith' is bound to be unfaithful etc etc).
probably just me!
but with the boy choices i like elliot best - or ellis as someone else said. not keen on dominic, mattthew is ok but quite ordinary?

What about Connelly?
