What do you think of Violetta as a girl's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.

Please could you tell me how you would pronounce this and if you prefer it to plain Violet.

Oh that's good, we pronounce it Veeoletta. It was my Italian grandmother's middle name,
Violet we'd pronounce differently.

Vee-oletta is lovely, bit of Italian drama and Vee is prettier nickname than Vi.

I might even be tempted to have another V for middle name so her initials could be her nickname VV. Eg Violetta Viane

Yes I think immediately of La Traviata too 5dollar. Everyone died of consumption in the old days though, so I don't really mind that.
