only doable with Russian / Slav heritage imo

otherwise it's a bit... Natasha

nowhere near as posh poncey classy nice as Araminta.

Only if you are Russian and the nickname in Russian is Tanya, not Tattie. Otherwise, I don't think it makes sense. Bit like calling your child an overly French name (Jean-Francois for example) if you are not French.

Tatiana is quite nice, but "tatty" means scruffy or potato.
