Hello, we love the name Jasper but really don't have a clue on how the name is perceived - we just know that we like it!

Sooo, we need to get some outside opinions and perspective on how it sounds etc. Do you like it? Is it too unusual? Is it a name that could cause teasing?

Thanks so much!

I think it's a silly name

I like it, but then again I live in Holland and it's a much more 'mainstream' name over here - along with Casper. To be brutally honest, I think in the UK it's a bit noncey, or best used for pets. Maybe as a middle name instead?

I like it.

I think it is quite posh, agree with others, along the lines of Sebastian, Felix, etc.

I know only one, he is about 6yo. His brothers have more popular names FWIW. I like it actually tho DH not keen.

My DS2 was so nearly a Jasper, liked Jazz for short, but tis just a teensy bit poncy IMVHO. Couldn't imagine shouting it in our local Sainsbugs. Still like it though. Called DS2 Sam in the end which is definately a dogs name.

I love it. Would have been on our list but my SIL has just named her baby Jasper.

We have one and he is a Jas, Jaspy. I wasn't so sure at first, I admit, but it really suits him. This of course was pre vampires. Smile
